Don’t worry if you feel overwhelmed by the lightning fast nature of Bright Memory: Infinite’s battle series. This guide explains the basics and gives you some tips on how to make the game your way.

Flash of the sheet

Guns and bullets aren’t the only way to fight in Bright Memory: Infinite. Shelia’s Lightblade is one of the strongest weapons in the gameespecially for those who love and are used to melee combat styles.

THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

Not only can your knife deflect bullets and send them back to your opponent, but it can… upgraded with Reliquaries to unlock skills like Blade Slash and Aerial Slash.

The Lightblade is useful for enemies who are close or who often use powerful ranged attacks, such as the Tian Yu Emperor’s gunfight. You can make enemies hover with a quick swipe to render them helpless as you tear them apart from below, a really powerful move when used against your evil human counterparts.

Range Rover

Even if you have yet to unlock the sniper rifle, all the weapons in this game are quite effective at firing a target in the distance – even the shotgun!

Before launching yourself around a corner, aim your sights at your rifle and see if you can take out an enemy hiding on a distant building. It is important to keep yourself behind cover like you do, because enemies only spawn when you cross a certain line, meaning if you can see them, they can probably see you too.

Because enemies only spawn when you stand in a certain place, you can’t snipe them down through an octagonal window before the fight scenes begin. Instead of, quickly cross an enemy’s line of sight before running back to the windowtake cover behind the wall before picking them up one by one.

healthy stealth

There is a mandatory stealth chapter in Bright Memory: Infinite, in which Shelia must grab a cleaver to fend for herself when an electromagnetic overload renders her weapons useless.

During this sequence, the game tells you that being discovered means an instant Game Over. However, that is not precisely WHERE.

This sequence requires you to lie low and crouch as you move, hiding in tufts of grass and behind walls to stay hidden and make it safely through the enemy-infested area.

If you’re careless and are accidentally discovered, you can quickly hit your enemy with the knife to neutralize them. As long as there are no other enemies around, your hazard meter drops againand you will be able to progress through the level with relative ease.

Don’t feel the need to kill every enemy during this stealth chapter. much of the time, you can just slip past the soldiers faster than you would if you stopped to give them all the pork chop.

The Ol’ Run Around

There are no health items to retrieve in Bright Memory: Infinite. Instead of, your health bar will regenerate over time if you manage to avoid damage for few seconds.

If you find yourself struggling during a battle sequence, give your enemies a good flight while your health bar is replenished. Turning around and running without stopping is sometimes the only way to heal, especially if you find yourself so surrounded that hiding behind a wall or in a house becomes a useless strategy.

To do some damage even if you stare, try launching a Sticky Bomb – the special ammunition type of your sniper rifle – at some enemies before going the other way. Everyone knows that cool people are always behind big explosions anyway.

avoid them

With so many combat maneuvers at their fingertips, many people forget the most important dodge ability.

Get out of an enemy’s path quickly by dodging an attack or run and slide away from them. This is also a great way to escape from bullets and fiery projectiles.

This step goes hand in hand with the tip above to help you replenish your health. A good general trick for this game is to never, ever stop moving – or if you do, watch where you step. You never know when a grenade will be thrown in your direction.

General tips and tricks

  • Pay attention to the types of ammunition at each checkpoint! If the game suddenly gives you piles of special AR bullets, or too many pistol clips to carry around, it’s a clear hint that these weapons will be especially useful to you in your next fight.
  • Kill everyone to activate the next checkpoint. The checkpoint HUD disappears from view when Shelia becomes involved in a fight. These parts of the game essentially lock you in a battle arena of sorts, meaning you can’t move forward or backward until you’ve taken out all the enemies.
  • Do not rely on your Exo Unit Arm. While incredibly cool, the Exo electromagnetic manipulation device attached to your arm won’t always be your saving grace. Not only will it be useless against heavily armored enemies, but it will only slow you down to keep attacking and hitting enemies that are resistant to it. When in doubt, switch to your knife and bullets.
