Beginner's Guide to Siralim Ultimate

Siralim Ultimate is the latest title in the long-running Siralim series. It’s a wonderful mix of procedural generation, turn-based combat, monster management, and complex intertwined systems. It may look simple at first glance, but this is a deep RPG with a rich set of mechanics that are hard to get into.

From the get-go, you can easily be overwhelmed by the sheer number of options available to you. Between the 10+ classes, countless shops, blacksmiths and craftsmen, and the endless barrage of quests, where do you even start? We have a few tips to make that learning process a little smoother.

Don’t worry about your class

One of the best aspects of Siralim Ultimate is its commitment to a interesting class schedule choose from. There are 15 in total, and they all play completely different. For example, performing a Animator will offer a drastically different set of mechanics and gameplay styles than running a hell knight or a inquisitor.

THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

This can be very overwhelming at the start of the game – it’s literally the second choice you make (the first is your name). Don’t worry though, as much as this choice will shape your overall play style, it’s not a permanent choice. Later in the game, you can try different lessons, making this first one a temporary choice at best. Pick one that looks cool and enjoy.

Your party is important

Your class is very much a passive advantage for your combat unit. Most of your ability will come from the party you decide to form. Parties consist of somewhere in between one and six monsters, and each monster has a unique statline and special abilities. For example, an Ent will heal your entire party every round, while a Hell Hound will buff your team when the fight starts.

There is a lot of depth here as there are multitudes of monsters to summon by your side. Not only that, classes interact with certain samples, compositions, sizes, and even positioning. The evoker will make all your spells more powerful, while the reaver prefers weaker monsters.

The Animator is arguably the most influenced. Their Animatus gets more powerful based on how your team is organized, how many of them die in battle, and all sorts of other interesting ways. It really forces you to pay attention to the small details in ways that other games just don’t.

Know your play style

Class and party are important, but both things fit into a larger category – play style. If you want to get far in Siralim Ultimate, you need to understand your play style and then do everything in your power to push that play mode to the max. You don’t want one-shot enemies of beefcakes like the Reaver, and you don’t want intellectually challenged monsters running with a kabbalist.

Siralim gives you a fantastic overview of each class and their playstyle. With a little reading, you can figure out how the game wants you to play. Pick a class that sounds interesting, build a party that’s a good fit for that class, then work on tweaking your approach to maximize your playstyle.

Enable Turbo Mode

Battles in Siralim Ultimate don’t last very long, but they can be made faster. This is a godsend if you’ve been playing for a while, as not every battle requires precise or constant decision-making. This is where Turbo mode comes in — and it’s something you’ll want to enable eventually.

Hidden in the Gameplay Options menu, you can knock on this, and then all you have to do is select the “To confirm” button, and your team will quickly enter a basic attack command. Not only that, you can customize each monster’s strategy when using Turbo mode. This allows you to tailor your automatic battles to the unique needs of your party.

Experiment with your benefits

Perks are powerful skills that you unlock as you progress through the game. They can dramatically increase the effectiveness of your party, but it can be difficult to figure out which ones are worth taking, and when. Mix in 15 classes and a bunch of monsters, and analysis paralysis can creep into the mix.

Fortunately, Siralim Ultimate has you covered. When you get back to Siralim Castle, you can just go to your Magic Wardrobe and redistribute all your Perk Points. This means you can experiment to your heart’s content or even adapt your build to a specific challenge. Very little is set in stone in Siralim Ultimate.

Build your fortune

In Siralim, power can be obtained in several ways. Leveling is obvious, but you can also exchange resources for powerful artifacts and spells. These resources can be hard to come by, but there are ways to increase your income. The greatest creature Fortune.

Fortune is a system that allows you to earn more loot when exploring Realms, provided your party is not cleared. As long as you build an undefeated streak, you’re going for Fortune. The more you have, the faster you generate resources. It’s a simple system that offers endless benefits.

Government missions and perks

We’ve already covered Perks, but how do you get the points needed to unlock Perks? The simple answer is Realm Quests. When you enter the wilderness of Siralim, you get a quest. These are almost always short and simple, but if you complete them you will be rewarded with Perk Points.

The gameplay loop becomes a cycle of going into a new realm, or a deeper part of an already visited realm, and completing an empire quest before moving on. Do enough and you can exchange these rewards for perks and become stronger as a result.
